The Amazing Race Video

Back in mid-February 2005, our sibling Amy sent out an email to several of us Ryans. She was wondering if we'd be interested in joining her in the Amazing Race #8, scheduled to begin sometime this summer of 2005. Sounds intriguing to say the least...so 4 of us, Jeff, Meg, Amy and myself (Greg) started talking and emailing about the premise and agreed that we should at least try.
About 2 weeks later, after many emails and a couple of conference calls, Amy, Meg and Jeff appeared, magically, in the Milwaukee airport. One of the requirements of the reality show was to submit an Amazing Race Audition Video of the team to show our sparkling personalities. The journey had begun.
After several false starts, we chose the old show Mission Impossible as a vehicle on which to display our talents. We would create a tape and introduction to the team and then we would accomplish a mission...in this case, to get on the show. We got a friend of ours, Bob Phelps, to do the voice over and my best gal, Brooke, was team member 5 in the process. Her job was to create the video and direct us through the process. She did a fabulous job and the results are now on-line at this page. This works best at high speed (DSL or Cablemodem) speeds but there is a modem connection which gives you the general idea.

Media which operates on windows computers or Macs. If you have problems
viewing the video, I'd like to know that too...you can email me privately.
Feel free to comment about this..however, suggestions for the video are
not being sought at this point since it's already been submitted to the
show. If we're selected for the next part, we'll all show up in New York
City for semi-finalist interviews...otherwise, if May rolls around without
us hearing anything, we were not selected.
Epilog
Well, April and May have come and gone and we've heard nothing so we're officially throwing in the towel. It was a blast to do the video and we've had fun running this site and will continue to keep it up...and updated. If you are aware of any videos that aren't listed here, please bring them to my attention. Additionally, if you know of any Survivor or The Amazing Race videos that haven't been streamed, I'm willing to stream them if I am allowed to post them here.
